Today we continued working on our essays. I was on my 6th paragraph and had 1,556 words. I have 1 paragraph and the conclusion left and had less than 100 words. I will need more than 1600 words around 1800 words for it to be enough. We need 1800 words

Today we continued writing our essays and I just started my 4th paragraph. I had a word count of 1121 words. I think that this is too much for only 4 paraghraphs and I will need to cut down words after I finish writing.

Process Journal 27 and 28

In those 2 days, I finished two paragraphs excluding the introdction. All together the word count was more than 750. In my opinion I think I will make it morre than 1500 words in the final total.

Today was our first day to start writing our essay. The word count for the essay has changed to give us a wider choice and it became from 1200 to 1600 words. I was all ready to start writing my essay. The first thing I started with was my introduction which was already ready. After I finished writing that I started withmy paragraph number 1 which was about Religion. It was a very long paragraph so it took me the rest of the lesson to finish it.

Today, I had to finish planning my essay to start writing it tomorrow. I had already finished all of my planning the previous day and was ready to start planning but I had to wait for my classmates. So, instead I worked on my introduction planning it, drafting and writing it on paper all ready to be typed up the next day.

Today, We finally finished from searching information and we turned to planning our essay. We had to make a list of what two questions fit together to make a paragraph that flows. It took me awhile to make a start because it was hard to sort which of my religion cards will fit the best at the begining of the paragraph. But when I sorted out my cards at the begining , the rest was easy.

In two days we will start planning our essay. So, Today I decided to search on both Variety of Jobs and Art/Archetecture at the same time. I searched for speacific questions that had less than one page. At the end of the lesson, I didnot find anything new that I had not already wrote for both of my charachteristics.

Today, I started adding to my Variety of jobs cards. I started with the most important question "What were the different kinds of jobs?". I found this really good website about all the jobs in Ancient Egypt. I endeed up adding 4 cards to that question.

Today, I finished adding to all of my Religion cards. So, I had to start adding to my Variety of Jobs. I made a start in finding information in thisd really great website thast had all the infiormation about the different kinds of jobs in Ancient Egypt. But, unfortunatley I didnot have enough time to start the card.

Today, I finished the question I started yesterday " how did the mumification process work?". It took me a little to find the website I started with yesterday. When I finally found it, It took me the whole lesson to finish it because It had alot of steps to write and they were long.

Today, I finally made a progress in researching in the internet. I found a website that gave all the information I needed about worshiping the gods. I ended up adding 3 more cards of information to my other cards from the books. I also started fom the same website the question " How did the mumification process work?". I only did one page.

Today was like a copy of yesterday. I did not manage to add or finish any of my questions. Unfortunately, the internet did not have any of the information or any of my questions. But, I did try on focusing on finishing the question of the worship of gods, but I did not have any luck in my findings. I ended up searching and finishing none of my questions.

Today, I did not manage to add to or finish any of my cards. I was starting my research on the religion questions. The main question I tried to focus on was “How did they worship their gods?” I tried to focus on this question mainly because we had to write an essay of 1500 words and one of the main question for my topic religion was how they worshiped their gods and right now I did not have a lot of information about as I was suppose to have. I started of looking in the websites that was in the G drive, but I did not find any information to my question. So, I looked into Google and looked and typed in “ancient Egypt for kids” to get an easy to read and understandable result for the search. At the end of the lesson, I did not find any thing suitable for my question.

Today was our 2nd day on working on the internet. I focused on the question of Art/Archtecture" How did the houses look like?". I looked in alot of websites to
find the answer. At the ende of the lesson, I ended up finishing only that question.

Today, we finally finished from using the books and we started using the internet. We had to add information to the cards we already did. First, I looked at all my questions and looked for a question that I had to add for it and started to search for it. At the end of the lesson, I ended up not adding to any of the questions.

Today, I had to find one more question to finish all of my questions. I looked everywhere then I went to Mr.Bonnelie to see if it was ok to have only 5 questions instead of 6. He looked at my questions and said it was ok because I had answered the question " How did they worship there gods?" which he said was enough for it. After I had finished all my questions, I had to use a website www.citaitionmachien.net to citate the books I used. I had to write the information about the book and then copy it down on microsoft word document and printed out. At the end of the lesson, I manage to finish it all.

Today, I finished all of my questions except that I needed one more question for Religion. During the lesson, I answered the question "How did they worship their gods?". When I finished that question, I started to look around to find a book that had a religion question for me to answer but there was not any book that had a question I did not answer. At the end of the lesson, I finished all the questions but when was left.

Today, I had only two questions to finish on Religion. I have already finished all the Questions for the other2 charachteristics Art/Archetecture and variety of jobs. The questions were " how did they worship their gods?" and " What was the mumification process?". I already finished halfway threw the 2nd Question. I just have to finish those 2 question and I finish all of the questions I have.

Today was like every other day of the project. I started of by reading a few books and then answering my questions. I am almost done the variety of jobs charachteristic. I had only one more question left which was "What were the different kinds of jobs ?". I found the answer all in one book called " the Ancient egyptian pyramid". At the end, I fhad finished all the six question of the variety of jobs charachteristic.

Today, I focused on reading books and finiding answers only on the charachteristic of "Variety of Jobs". I erased 2 questions that were really hard to find the answer to, but replace them with 2 new questions. One of those 2 qustions was "Did they have a money system?" which had a really long and good answer to it. I also looked threw lots of different books to find some answers. Time went by really quick that I ended up only finishing 1 question.

Today I finally reached my goal. I finished all the art/archetecture questions. I had one more questo to finish which was " What was the purpose of the pyramids?". I had to wait for Amna to finish using the book called " The Mysteries of the pyramids". After she finished using it, I took it and wrote the answer to the question. When I finally finished the art/archtecture characteristic, I went on to work on the hardest charachteristic which was " Variety of Jobs". I think that it waas the hardest because there was not alot of information about that topic. It was also hard to find some answers to the questions on the other charachteristic "Religion".

The ancient egyptian research project is still going on, which today its being the 7th day. My goal for the day was to just look threw books and look for answers on 2 specific questions Which are "What did the houses look like?" and "Did they have slaves?". I looked around for books about the people of Egypt to find the answer to the question about the slaves in Egypt. I found alot of books about Egyptian people and their lives but there was just one book that had the information I needed but it did not have alot of information and did not have exactly what I wanted. So, I looked for the answer of the other question on houses in other books. I found the book which had a detailed picture of Ancient Egyptian houses and a detailed discription of it.

Today, my aim was to work extra hard on finishing the Art/Archetecture charachteristic. I have already finished 3 questions on Religion, 2 on Variety of Jobs and 4 on Art/Archetectre. I tried to stick to my goal as much as possible but it was kind of hard because evrytinme I got a book I found the answer of a question from the other 2 characteristics. I found this really great book called "Ancient Egypt" which had the answer of the particular question which I have been looking for, which is "What has changed in Religion since the time of their ancestors?". That book had also answered another one of my questions from variety of jobs which is "Did they pay taxes?" and "What was a farmer's job?".

Today was my 5th day to work on the Ancient egypt research project. I have already made a progress in the charachteristic of art/Archetecture. I answered around 5 questions out of around 7 questions from that charachteristic. I tried to focus today on one of my other charchteristic which is "Variety of Jobs". I did not do any card for that charchteristic because it is actually the hardest one to find information . I also had to change a few questions and replace them with other new questions. I actually found alot of information on farming and how they farmed. I also found information on the pharoahs job. I found all of this information in this really great book called " Everyday life in Anicent Egypt".

Today was my 4th day of the research project. Today I tried to focus on finishing at one of my three charachteristics "Art and archtecture". I found this really great book all about the ancient egyptian art called " Ancient Egyptian art". It gave alot of information about the ancient art and a little information about the buildings. After I finished using that book, I still had some questions that were unanswered about the pyramids and the buildings of ancient egypt, like "What was the purpose of the pyramids". I then found this book called "The mysteries of the Pyrmids" which gave alot of informtion about how the pyramids were made, why, how and who. From looking at the book I thpught of a new question to answer which wwas " how were the pyramids built?". I ended up answering that Question and then the bell rang.

Today was my third day of starting the research project. I have made some progretions so far in the charachteristic Art and Archetecture because I found this great book (I kind of forgot the name of the book) that says everything about the egyptian art and the arce. It answered almost every question I had about the art and archetecture. I am still not done that charachteristic but I have already finished around 2 or 3 questions from it. Tomorrow , I might finish the rest of the art and architecture questions. For the other charachteristics I still did not make much progress in them.

Today was my 2nd day to work on the project. I got all the books that had the info I needed and sat in my place and started to write the cards. The first card I had to finish was for Religion and the Question waas " did they believe in afterlife?". I had already found lots of information about it in many different books , so I thought it will be best to finish that one off. It took me a while to finish the card because the info was kind of hard to understand and it was hard to choose the info I had to write. After that , I had to card where I had to write the name of gods and godess, which I got the information from lots of different books , so , Mr. Bonnalie said I didn't have have to write the bibliography for it. In the end, I had finished up 2 cards for religion.

Today was my first day to do my research on Ancient Civilization. I chose to do ancient Egypt because I thought that they were unique people and I think they are the most interesting civilization . I chose the three charachteristics " Art and Archetecture, Religin and Variety of jobs".At first I didn't know what to do, then Mr. Bonnalie said it was better if we first start looking threw lots of books then write the information on the cards. So, at first, I started looking threw the easy books and didn't find alot, but some books had exactly what I wanted. I looked threw all the books and found a little of everything in each book. At the end, I ended up not doing any cards but finding alot of information. At the beginning, I thought that researching in books was very hard and that it will take a long time, but I was wrong it is actually much easier to search in books than it is in the internet. Also, it is in a much easier way to understand.
